HURON, FRESNO COUNTY — CALIFORNIA58 LOCAL. Huron’s October 7, 2026 City Council agenda included proposed Resolution 2026-0064 concerning the Lassen Avenue Pedestrian Hybrid Beacons Project. The proposed action would approve appraisal summaries and authorize written offers for property interests needed for the project.

What the municipal agenda establishes

Pedestrian hybrid beacons are traffic-control devices intended to help people cross roads. Depending on their placement, installations may require land, easements or other property rights for poles, sidewalks and related equipment.

An appraisal or acquisition offer is part of preconstruction work. The agenda does not demonstrate that offers were accepted, rights acquired, construction commenced or the beacons began operating.

Property owners and people who travel along Lassen Avenue can follow the project through the city’s adopted council minutes, right-of-way documentation and later engineering and construction notices.

Questions about specific parcels or compensation should be directed to the public agency and qualified advisers; the agenda excerpt is not a substitute for individual legal notices.
